Wayman is the founder and co-owner of Charm City Clay, as well as a ceramics teacher, multidisciplinary artist, and sculptor based in Baltimore. His work focuses on large-scale human figures, public art, and community engagement, reflecting his commitment to both artistic excellence and creative collaboration.
Founder and co-owner of Charm City Clay, Vanna is the founder and co-owner of Charm City Clay, as well as a ceramic artist, silkscreen and painting artist, potter, and sculptor who skillfully blends function and form. A multidisciplinary art teacher with a community-focused practice, Vanna is dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and artistic growth within her community. -
Student at AACC and a skilled apprentice Alex is a ceramic artist and teacher specializing in the human figure. He has apprenticed with Charm City Clay, for public art works. Currently a student at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), Alex serves as the President of the AACC Sculpture Club, where he continues to develop his skills and foster community among fellow artists.

Charm City Clay is a community-based ceramics studio founded by Baltimore artists Wayman Scott and Vanna Ramirez, who joined forces to bring the experience of clay to East Baltimore.
Both a teaching and production studio, Charm City Clay offers ceramics classes for all skill levels — from beginners to advanced artists. The studio also serves as a hub for design and fabrication of public art, supporting creative collaboration and community engagement.

Charm City Clay is located in an industrial pocket of the Highlandtown Arts District in East Baltimore. Nestled inside the historic former Crown Cork & Seal building, dating back to the early 1900s, our studio blends Baltimore’s rich industrial past with a thriving creative community.
